Sadly disappointing.  No where near a Mad Jack's replacement. Drive down the street to Lufti's.

I tried a catfish and wing combo. The catfish wasn't bad. The wings were undercooked. The fries were also undercooked and mushy.  I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. The noodles were overcooked and there was no cheese. Seriously it was a watery noodle cup with absolutely no flavor.

Drastic changes will need to be made to recipes and processes  if this restaurant plans to be there a year from now.

I decided to give it a 3rd chance. Still disappointed. Most of the crust was not on the fish. The texture of the fish was rubbery. When I explained fish was supposed to flaky, I was told that only the crust and fish next to the crust is supposed flaky and that the fish is supposed medium inside. What the heck does that mean?  Then I was told by one man the fish looks good to him. You have got to be joking.  I was given my money back. Never again.

Fish was grossly over seasoned. We are accustomed to well seasoned fried food but this was simply too much. That said, the sides were bland on top of be given the wrong sides (which were premium sides and priced higher such as greens, mac and cheese and rice $10).

    Whole catfish dinner:
Decent price and amount of food
Fish was over cooked and over salted
Freshness of the fry oil questionable
No forks. Ever eaten a whole catfish with a spoon?
Okra, hush puppies and slaw were good
